أكد الاتحاد السوري لكرة القدم في بيان رسمي عدم التوصل الى اتفاق مع المدرب المحلي نزار محروس من اجل توليه قيادة المنتخب الأول بسبب شروطه "التي من الصعب تحقيقها".

وكان صلاح رمضان رئيس الاتحاد السوري لكرة القدم ونائبه فادي دباس اجتمعا الخميس في بيروت مع المحروس الذي يشرف حاليا على فريق طرابلس اللبناني، للبحث في التعاقد معه من اجل تدريب المنتخب الأول الذي تأهل إلى نهائيات كأس آسيا 2019 وإلى المرحلة الأخيرة من التصفيات الآسيوية المؤهلة إلى مونديال 2018.

وأوضح البيان انه من الصعب تنفيذ الشروط التي طلبها المحروس ومنها الحصول على الموافقة اللازمة للدخول والخروج من الأردن حيث تقيم عائلته فيها، إضافة إلى عدم قدرة الاتحاد على تنفيذ بعض الشروط الأخرى مثل المعسكرات والمباريات خلال شهر أب/اغسطس المقبل.

ومن المتوقع أن يعلن اتحاد الكرة خلال الأسبوع المقبل اسم المدرب الجديد ويتم الحديث عن حسام السيد وأيمن حكيم أو العودة إلى فجر إبراهيم الذي قاد المنتخب في التصفيات الاسيوية المزدوجة.
