صدرت كصحيفة رأي في بادئ الأمر وركزت موضوعاتها للدعوه للالتفاف وراء مشروع الاتحاد
كانت تطبع في بيروت لعدم وجود مطابع في الإمارات .
كانت توزع بالمجان بتوجيهات من الشيخ زايد ذاته .
لقد بدأت الاتحاد بطباعة 500 نسخة ثم ارتفع هذا العدد إلى 1000نسخة ثم 5500 نسخة ، ومع قيام الاتحاد و اتساع النشاط وزيادة القراء تخطى توزيعها أعلى معدلاته حين كانت تطبع في بداية الثمانينات 45000 نسخة وربما يصل توزيها الان الى 60 ألف نسخ داخل وخارج الامارات .
وقد اكتسبت هذه الصحيفه موقفها المميز بين القراء لعدة اسباب ، منها
