اعتبر لاعب نادي الشرطة والمنتخب العراقي لكرة القدم، علي بهجت انه حان الوقت لتكرار انجاز المكسيك 1986، عندما وصل منتخب اسود الرافدين لنهائيات كاس العالم للمرة الاولى بتاريخه.

واكد بهجت في حديث لموقع : "ليس هنالك ثمة شيء يقف بوجه العراق من اجل التاهل لنهائيات كاس العالم في روسيا صيف العام2018 ".

واشار بهجت الى ان: "تشكيلة منتخب العراق فيها لاعبين ذوي خبرة كبيرة ومن قبيل القائد والهداف يونس محمود والمدافع سلام شاكر الى جانب تواجد لاعبين على مستوى فني عالي جدا".

ولفت بهجت الانتباه الى ان: "تشكيلة منتخب اسود الرافدين تضم حاليا لاعبين شباب يمتلكون الرغبة والطموح والحرص بغية تحقيق حلم الجماهير الرياضية العراقية بالتواجد ضمن اكبر تظاهرة كروية على الكرة الارضية".

وشدد بهجت على ان: "تواجد اللاعبين المحترفين والمغتربين امر خدم الكرة العراقية بسبب خبرة وتجربة هولاء اللاعبين فضلا عن مهارتهم العالية وتعودهم على اللعب في البطولات الكبرى".

كاشفا عن ان: "اللاعبين المغتربين ومن قبيل جوستن ميرام وياسر قاسم واحمد ياسين وغيرهم كانوا اضافة فنية على تشكيلة منتخب اسود الرافدين".

يذكر ان المنتخب العراقي سيواجه منتخب الكونغو الديمقراطية وديا يومي ال 28 و ال 31 من شهر اذار/ مارس الحالي في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة بقيادة المدرب الوطني الجديد اكرم احمد سلمان يساعده نزار اشرف وعماد هاشم مدربا لحراس المرمى.
