Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Anna always knew she was a natural-born explorer. Her nights were spent staring at an atlas her father left open on the living room table or at the countless National Geographic magazines lying around the house. She spent a summer working in Jerusalem as a volunteer medic, treating both Israeli and Palestinian patients. Anna also spent one year travelling around the Middle East, South-East Asia and Europe.
Anna received her BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a focus in Law from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and her MA in Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security at the Interdisciplinary Center of Herzilya, Israel. She studied under experts in the field and had the opportunity to attend the 2010 and 2011 Institute of Counter-Terrorism Conferences, where she worked with experts in the fields of law, security, diplomacy and counter-terrorism.
After developing a keen interest in both domestic and international politics, and the Middle-East, she was named Regional Director for advocacy group B'nai Brith Canada-Quebec, allowing her work closely with Montreal Police and the city's Jewish community. Her expertise in both Counter-Terrorism and Community Relations allowed her to identify threats facing the Jewish community while building bridges with other cultural communities. Experienced in media relations and public speaking, Anna is now a contributor to Wikistrat, a geopolitical analysis service.
Anna currently lives in Tel Aviv and works as a security consultant for projects in various conflict zones including Syria and Iraq.
